Christmas, yey!

I've started making xmas cards at long last.... I made 13 in a night and really enjoyed the process. I used lots of different techniques  such as heat embossing, die cutting and different media. The paper pack was a 12x12 Maggie Holmes called open book and even though it wasn't a xmas stack it had a sheet of these gorgeous reindeers, so sweet! I've attached a couple, hope you like :o)


Stamp A Faire Threads challenge

I came upon Danielle Flanders blog and the Threads challenge that is on at Papertrey Ink.
I loved the threads video and was itching to try her thread roses and here's the outcome.
I used a sizzix mason jar die for the vase which I highlighted with a wink of stella and I used glossy accents on the punched heart. I'm really pleased with the overall effect.
It's been so busy over the summer with LO and so much fun (but not much crafting for mummy!) but schools back next week so I may have a bit more me time...

birthday card

Made this quick card using the Simon says stamp April card kit and a craft asylum flower die with my sizzix big shot.
I heat embossed the greeting and used some washi tape on card stock to make the banner. Super quick and super cute :0)

busy busy .....

Been very busy, lots of birthdays and teacher gifts to make so I made it a bit easier by making the teachers a card to put a costa gift card in. I have used up lots of scraps and stamps from the Simon says stamp card kits so a bit of a mix. I have also been using my new wink of stella pen which I've almost used up, its hardly out of my hand!

Made some cards from the June and July simon says stamp card kits,  just bought a clear wink of stella as well so used it the cut out of the smile die.  The nautical one is a card for a man, have so many male birthdays at the mo!

another masculine card

I made another masculine card for a nephews birthday. I used the Simon says stamp die that I received from the June card kit along with embellishments from basic grey hipster and Bo bunny. I really liked how the card turned out.



 

I also made a card from the Simon says stamp may card kit but the pictures didn't turn out very well... must sort out my lighting...!

Been a little while but I thought I would share a masculine card I did for my nephew. I also did this super cute one for my little ones friend, I got the paper pack from lidl for a real bargain!  Hope u like :0)

Baby card

I made this baby card using some My Minds Eye up and away papers and some dies from Clearly Besotted stamps. I didn't have a 'baby' sentiment so used my birthday one which I cut and then stuck the individual letters to a washi tape banner, I then coloured in the sentiment using glitter pens.

I'm going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge 'Anything Goes'

Made a card today using the Simon says stamp monthly card kit. I used some of the March and some of the April. I started by layering up cardstock with foiled kraft paper from the april kit. I then added some patterned papers from the march kit and a journaling card. I also used some washi tape from my minds eye which I put one of the rub ons on and attached some twine. Attached some sequins and all complete :)

Made this supercute card using gelatos and heat embossing the sentiment. I also just purchased the avery elle fabulous flowers dies and stamp which I attached to the side. Really pleased with the effect of water colouring over heat embossing. Hope you like :0)

Quickish card...

Made this little birthday card for my niece which was surprisingly quick to make once I found the right sketch. (From the hero arts blog) I got this dcwv paper stack from  tk maxx and used 3 of the papers in a 

 triangular design, I also tried a new technique to me which was heat embossing onto washi tape which worked really well, added the happy die from clearly besotted and a little bit of glossy accents and all done, happy days :0)

Quick post before I put my LO to bed, I received a craft haul today and amongst it was the HOTP lemonade stand card kit, made this cute little birthday card but what I was really chuffed with was the embellishments I used... see in the left hand corner, guess what they are..? Drawing pins ! (Thumb tacks) they cost me a £1 from the range the other day and I just took the pin bit off the back and a bit of hot glue and ta-dah! And I got about 50 of them so a real bargain, anyways off to bed with LO :0)

I made a couple of little cards as I'm trying to use up all my scraps (it will take a while....) I bought some dovecraft (docrafts?) alphabet stamps from The Range for an absolute bargain of £1.00 and I'm loving the look of the font. I saw something somewhere (bit vague,sorry) about using washi tape to hold the letter blocks together while stamping and it worked really well.
This first one I used stamps and rub ons from the simon says stamp february 2015 card kit as well as my bigshot to cut some basic shapes

The second one I used Faber Castell gel sticks, I have one gelato but couldn't stretch to buying a full set and watched a video on youtube by the frugal crafter and there didn't seem to be a lot of difference so I went for the gel sticks. I'm really pleased with the effect and may try doing something bigger 

Anyhow, this took far too long to write/upload as I'm using my mobile again which takes forever, I did start it on the tablet but I couldn't upload the pictures so not sure what thats about, any advice would be welcome :0)

birthday card...

Made a card using the simon says stamp april 2015 card kit which I received today and the american crafts dear lizzy  Lucky Charm paper pads. I love these papers and they went really well with the kit I thought. Also used a sizzix mason jar die and docrafts shimmer dome stickers to add some texture.
I layered up with the die-namics butterflies to add a bit more texture and the card was finished,

been a little while....

Not very good at this blogging malarky, but I did make this little card with the March simon says stamp kit, love the colours of this kit. Hopefully it won't be so long next time :0)

Weekend crafting

I managed to make a couple of cards this weekend . One was inspired by the simon says stamp March 2015 card kit which I am hoping to receive any day soon... it was the colours  that inspired me, I love the yellow, black and grey mix and the other was a simple congratulations card which I also used a previous card kit, December I think, hopefully I manage to upload them... I also made a very nice elasticated waist skirt for my LO although haven't managed to take any pics as yet ..btw, note to self, do not attempt to do a blogpost using my mobile again .. ; 0)

A start at last....

I've been wanting to start a blog for so long but am a little unsavvy (is that even a word?) when it comes to technology so it has taken a while to get started ..... hopefully now I have (if this works) so can get involved in all these other lovely creative blogs I browse for hours on end...
